PAUDEN, the Pan Africa United Development Network, commends President Bola Tinubu for appointing new security service chiefs in Nigeria, enhancing community security and youth empowerment efforts across Africa.

The Pan Africa United Development Network (PAUDEN) extends its  heartfelt commendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the recent appointment and decoration of Nigeria’s new service chiefs. This strategic move, announced in October 2025, underscores the President’s commitment to bolstering national security and addressing emerging threats effectively.

The newly appointed leaders include General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Wahidi Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Amin Abbas as Chief of Naval Staff, and Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kevin Aneke as Chief of Air Staff. These appointments come at a critical time when Nigeria faces diverse security challenges, from insurgency to banditry.

PAUDEN believes this leadership refresh will inject fresh strategies and decisiveness into the nation’s defense apparatus, as charged by the President himself.
As an organization dedicated to empowering youth, boosting community security, and promoting corporate social responsibility across Africa, PAUDEN views these changes as a positive step toward a safer continent. Strong security frameworks are essential for sustainable development, enabling young Africans to thrive without fear.

We urge the new service chiefs to prioritize collaborative efforts with civil society and youth networks to foster lasting peace.

PAUDEN stands ready to support initiatives that align with our mission of united African development. Congratulations once again to President Tinubu and the new service chiefs—may your tenure bring renewed hope and stability to Nigeria and beyond.
